Professor Josip Car is a physician scientist with a record of combined board level executive, clinical and academic leadership. He has been leading, researching and advising on health system transformation in the UK NHS and internationally with actors such as OECD, WHO, World Bank, the Global Fund, ministries of health, hospitals and health systems. His work contributed to several WHO guidelines relating to digital health and digital health education.

Professor Car's research focus is on the interdisciplinary individual and population health improvement strategies, digital health, health education and builds upon health systems science health. He has clinched numerous competitive research grants in Singapore, the UK, Europe, and internationally from a range of public, industry and Non-Governmental Organisation funding bodies. He has published over 350 research papers, reports, and other academic contributions in leading medical journals, and has been awarded professional recognitions, such as from the UK Department of Health for regional health service innovation in London and the BMJ’s top ten reviewer award.
