Dr. Katarzyna du Vall

Katarzyna du Vall, PhD, JD, is a doctor of law, legal counsel, and political studies specialist. She gained her doctoral degree at the Centre for Holocaust Studies at the Jagiellonian University, Kraków. Since 2015 she has been lecturing on the “Medicine of the Third Reich” at the Jagiellonian University Medical College and the School of Medicine in English. Her main research interest lies in the phenomenon of totalitarian state systems. Her two master theses, written and defended at the Faculty of Law and Administration and at the Faculty of International and Political Studies, Jagiellonian University in Kraków, were devoted to the idea of eugenics and the question of racist policies in the Third Reich. Her doctoral dissertation from the Faculty of Law and Administration, Jagiellonian University, Kraków, concerned legal instruments for combating totalitarianism in the Polish Constitution and criminal law.
