Rules of submitting a poster

Who can submit a poster

Physicians and other health professionals, ethicists and historians with special interest in the topic of the conference.

Criteria for submission

1. Only original unpublished work may be submitted.
2. Poster should fit into one of the following categories:
   a) History of medicine during the World War II:

  • The role of physicians in eugenic programs in the Third Reich
  • The role (negative or positive) of physicians and other health professionals in Nazi German concentration camps and ghettos
  • The history of hospitals for inmates in Nazi German concentration camps and ghettos
  • Post-war fate of physicians-perpetrators

   b) The impact of trauma at Nazi German concentration camps and other places of imprisonment on victims’ descendents

   c) Ethical implications of the medical transgressions that took place during the Holocaust for modern scientific theory, medical practice, healthcare policy and human rights endeavors

Process of submitting and accepting posters

1. Submissions must be made before March 1, 2020
2. Posters should be sent in PDF and Word formats by email to MRA secretariat (auschwitz.conference@mp.pl) with a subject “MRA 2020 Poster”. See below for detailed instructions.
3. The poster must be accompanied by the PDF or DOC of the submission form (download) signed by the presenting author.
4. MRA Scientific Committee will review all submitted posters meeting submission criteria and select/approve posters for presentation at MRA Conference.
5. Corresponding authors of posters selected for presentation will be contacted by March 15, 2020. Authors will be requested to register for MRA Conference by March 31.
Please note that the organizers do not cover any expenses incurred on the part of participants.
6. Posters will be printed and mounted at the expense of the organizers. Authors are requested to be present by their posters at indicated times. 
7. Selected posters will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

D. Technical requirements

1. Poster should include:
   a) Title (short, informative).
   b) Author names (presenting author listed as the first author).
   c) Institutional affiliations.
   d) First author’s corresponding email address.  
2. Format: Portrait orientation, A0 size: 841 mm (width) x 1189 mm (height)  
3. Font size should allow for reading from 2–3 meters.
