In June we will have an annual evaluation of the Impact Factor. We believe that thanks to the hard work of the publisher and our reviewers, and above all, thanks to the high quality of the submitted papers, our IF will increase, emphasizing the importance of “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques” among other surgical journals. All the time we encourage you to submit to “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques” work of high scientific value, and regarding the broad spectrum of minimally invasive surgery. We also encourage surgeons who are specialists in various surgical fields to cooperate with our editorial team as reviewers.
And this very “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques” issue is full of extremely interesting scientific articles. We receive more and more manuscripts from around the world. In this issue I particularly recommend a meta-analysis regarding a comparison of the results of laparoscopic and open rectal cancer surgery. There are also randomized controlled trial results on various forms of anesthesia for laparoscopic appendectomies. I can recommend to vascular surgery specialists the article about minimally invasive treatment of pulmonary embolism. Finally, as always, the issue ends with 5 descriptions of interesting surgical cases. I cordially encourage you to read these.
And for the upcoming holidays, I wish everyone great weather and long relaxation after another year of hard work in the operating room.
Kind regards,
Jacek Szeliga
