I am delighted to announce the release of the latest issue of Videosurgery. This edition is of great significance for all of us as it not only features 14 articles on minimally invasive surgery, but also includes the results of over a year’s work by a team of several dozen experts: guidelines for diagnostic and therapeutic management in severe cases of acute pancreatitis. This disease remains a considerable challenge for physicians, and treatment outcomes are still far from satisfactory. I believe that these clinical recommendations, based on the latest and most reliable scientific data, will serve as essential support in optimizing your clinical decisions.
As usual, in this issue, you will also find 2 meta-analyses focused on topics related to liver surgery. Interestingly, the thematic spectrum of the remaining publications is broader, encompassing various fields where minimally invasive medicine, particularly video technology, is utilized. For instance, this issue features considerably more papers dealing with problems of neurosurgery and orthopedics than usual. I trust that this expansion will significantly broaden our readership.
We continually await your submissions, especially for the meta-analysis and randomized studies sections. These contributions are treated with the highest priority. We also encourage you to join our group of supporters on social media, where you will find the freshest updates on our ever-growing activity.
I warmly invite you to explore the new issue of VSJ.
Kindest regards
Prof. Jacek Szeliga
VSJ Editor-in-Chief
