Michele Gold, Chair of Holocaust Museum LA, has been involved with the Museum since 2006 taking on various educational and leadership roles.
Ms Gold an author and playwright, the daughter of Holocaust survivor Rita Berwald, from Leipzig, Germany. Her book Memories That Won’t Go Away – A Tribute to the Children of the Kindertransport was dedicated to her mother and to 600 of the 10,000 children that were separated from their families and came to the UK as part of the Kindertransport program. Her book has been widely reviewed.
Ms Gold is a frequent speaker at community events, panel discussions, colleges and universities both in the United States and overseas. In 2017 she developed Legacies of Survival Workshop Series tailored for Holocaust survivors and second and third generation survivors. She is actively involved in numerous community and charitable organizations.
