The journal uses the single-blind review system, in which the identity of the authors is disclosed to the reviewers. All reviews have to be submitted through the online submission system Editorial Manager. The instructions on how to submit a review, with a login and password, are included in the invitation letter sent from the system. On accepting the invitation, the reviewer is asked to: provide overall recommendation (accept, reject, or revise); provide an overall manuscript rating by assigning from 1 to 100 points; and addtionally rate the manuscript by assigning from 1 to 5 points for each of the following rating questions:
1. The subject addressed in this article is worthy of investigation.
2. The information presented was new.
3. The conclusions were supported by the data.
4. The methodology and statistical analysis were appropriate.
The reviewer is also asked to provide blind comments to author and confidential comments to the editor (including the conflict of interest statement and a detailed account of the strengths and weaknesses of the study). Reviewers should clearly declare the use of AI tools in the peer review report. Detailed instructions on how to complete the review form are available on logging onto the system.
A tutorial for reviewers using the Editorial Manager system can be found here.
We would like to thank all reviewers who review manuscripts submitted to our journal. Your time and effort are very much appreciated. The list of reviewer names for each individual year can be viewed in pdf format.
