Submit your abstract by March 15!

Researchers working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and medicine are invited to submit abstracts to AIMed 2026 | Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, taking place 7–9 May 2026 in Kraków, Poland and online. Following strong international interest, the submission deadline has been extended to 15 March 2026, marking the final weeks for contributions.
Submissions are welcome under two tracks:
All accepted abstracts will be published in a Book of Abstracts produced with BMJ Digital Health & AI. The top-ranked abstract will receive an invitation to submit a full paper to a Special Issue of BMJ Digital Health & AI (standard peer review).
AIMed 2026 welcomes a diverse audience: developers building AI tools, healthcare professionals deploying these solutions in practice, and experts navigating the regulatory and ethical landscape.
The conference program includes:
Day 1 (Research & Innovation Day): Presentations of scientific research on the applications of AI in healthcare.
Day 2 (State-of-the-Art Day): Keynote lectures by invited experts presenting the current state of knowledge and future directions for AI in healthcare. Speakers include Emer Cooke (Executive Director of the European Medicines Agency), Professor Marta Kwiatkowska (University of Oxford), and Professor Gary Collins (University of Birmingham).
Day 3 (Education Day): Workshops and educational sessions.
AIMed is a joint initiative developed by scholars from the Polish Institute for Evidence Based Medicine (PIEBM), McMaster University (Canada), the Big Data Institute at the University of Oxford, and the Interdisciplinary Health Data Center of the Jagiellonian University Medical College.
