Tuberculosis treatment in Poland at the turn of 20th century (till 1914)

Abstract

At the turn of 20th century on Polish territory tuberculosis was treated like in western European countries with conservative – symptomatic methods (climatotherapy, using dietetherapy) and invasive methods (emphysema, thoracoplasty). In fight against tuberculosis dr Seweryn Sterling stood out from all the Polish doctors at that time.
