Michał Lityński – a forgotten author of the first description on primary hyperaldosteronism

Abstract

Primary hyperaldosteronism (Conn’s syndrome) was described for the first time by the Polish internist Michał Lityński (1906–1989) in 1953. Jerome W. Conn’s (1907–1994) report on the disease appeared in 1955.
