On the basis at the observed case we decided to describe the diagnostic problems in the patient with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and after a few years of observation the severe development of lung cancer with hepar metastasis, preceded by long‑term exposure to dust of silica. The relations between SLE, lung cancer and exposure to silica were described in the discussion.
