We would like to invite internists (up to 35 years of age) or senior trainees in internal medicine in the last two years of training representing national societies of internal medicine or other institutions that are the official partners of the 9th McMaster International Review Course in Internal Medicine (MIRCIM) to take part in the Best Case Report Contest.

All correctly submitted case reports will be presented during the poster session organized as part of the 9th MIRCIM, and twenty best, selected by the international jury, will be presented by authors during the “Clinical Cases in Internal Medicine: Learning Through Practice” conference. Each partner can endorse up to 10 case reports for the contest. Reports are selected by the partner (for instance, through internal qualification). Submissions must be made before January 29, 2024 via online submissions system, which will be open on January 7.

Main prize:

  • €1000
  • publication in the Polish Archives of Internal Medicine (PAIM), IF of 4.8 (see abstracts from 2023: BCRC 2023)
  • free attendance and accommodation at MIRCIM 2025
  • free attendance at ECIM 2025
  • one case report selected from the oral presentations will be awarded publication in the European Journal of Case Reports in Internal Medicine.

This year, due to the support of International Visegrad Fund, all participants from V4 countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) will receive additional benefits.

The prerequisite for participation in the competition is a positive recommendation of the Polish Society of Internal Medicine (for Polish members only).
