In the Clinical image entitled “Large mass in the left atrium: the importance of proper anticoagulation” published in the November 2025 issue (Ostrowska‑Kaim E, Pudło J, Golińska‑Grzybała K, et al. Pol Arch Intern Med. 2025; 135: 17132. doi:10.20452/pamw.17132), on page 1, a wrong mitral valve area range was provided. The sentence “Switching from direct anticoagulants to vitamin K antagonists is recommended in patients with AF and rheumatic mitral stenosis, with a mitral valve area equal to or greater than 2 cm².” should have read “Switching from direct anticoagulants to vitamin K antagonists is recommended in patients with AF and rheumatic mitral stenosis, with a mitral valve area smaller than or equal to 2 cm².”
