In the Clinical image entitled “Cryptococcosis in an immunocompromised patient: diagnosis and therapeutic success” published in the July–August 2025 issue (Nolberczak D, Narbutt J, Matych M, et al. Pol Arch Intern Med. 2025; 135: 17028. doi:10.20452/pamw.17028), the authors mistakenly included an incorrect image in the submission. After a reader raised concerns, the authors re‑examined the source materials and confirmed that the image selected for publication (Figure 1C) suggested a different diagnosis. The image was replaced with a correct one, showing the microscopic appearance of cryptococcal infection specific to the case described. The correct image is shown below.
